EdDidIt v1.0
EdDidIt is a simple material editing application for OpenSceneGraph, at a basic level it can be used to apply simple diffuse and reflective materials to an existing model. Look deeper and it also has the ability for users to create their own custom GLSL based materials. With this capability the possibilities become endless.
A model can be loaded after export from your modelling package. Materials can then be created, applied and edited live in the application. The model can then either be saved as a project, or exported as an IVE, embedding all your assets including textures and GLSL shaders.
Available for both Windows and Mac, with a common interface across both platforms, EdDidIt can become a valuable tool for programmers and Artists alike. Allowing Artists the freedom and intuitiveness of a glossy GUI based interface and programmers the flexibility of easily adding new custom materials.
All source code is available as part of the HogBox Lib project in the hope people will learn from and customize the code, IDE projects include Visual Studio 2005 and XCode 3.1.
The download packages include a collection of example scenes and advanced materials to help get you started. Check out the video below to see some of them in action.
